SPILLPROOF Filter Cloth

In solid-liquid separation the use of CGR filter plates is important when the entire system has to be 100% leakproof. The filter cloths are produced with a caulking rope or cord sewn into the edge of the cloth, which ensure that the filter cloths can be firmly connected to the plate.

Our SPILLPROOF filter cloths are a further development of the conventional sewn filter cloths. By using SPILLPROOF filter cloths you can save time up to 70% during assembly. Also, you achieve a leakage-free filtration – 100% tightness and filtration without product loss.

Filter Candle

Junker-Filter filter candles are available in different materials, dimensions and design variants. These systems are used worldwide in all branches of industry.

Through close cooperation with well-known sugar producers, Junker-Filter has continuously optimized and improved the filter candles over the past few decades and developed a special design: the combi filter candle.

It is a combination of a perforated stainless steel body and a plastic supporting body. We only use high quality materials, which means that our filter candles have a significantly longer service life than conventional filter candles.

In practice, the following advantages arise:

sealing ring for easy filter sleeve assembly

Filter belt

Junker-Filter manufactures filter belts in all designs for a wide variety of applications.

Depending on the filtration process we can choose between different filter materials and designs and add special surface treatmens.

For rotary filters we use special fabrics with flexible structure to achieve high filtration efficiency.

Design:

reinforcement at the edges for optimal control, so that a straight run of the filter belt is guaranteed.

Filter sleeves from Junker-Filter are available in woven fabrics (monofilament, multifilament and staple fibers) as well as needle felts. The longitudinal seam can be homogeneously welded, sewn or round woven.

Depending on the installation method or functionality of the filter socks, special optimizations can be added, such as separate cuffs or additional reinforcements in the head or bottom area. In addition, each filter sleeve is marked with a print, which enables 100% traceability.

Filter Cloth with Special Feeding Hole

Junker-Filter has responded to specific customer needs in the field of mining and developed an innovative single cloth for filter presses. Due to the special construction of the filter cloths with integrated special feeding device, there is no rigid connection between the filter cloth and the filter plate. This means that single filter cloths can be changed very quickly and easily. In addition, the plate can be cleaned without time-consuming dismantling of the filter cloths.

When the filter press is closed, the special design of the feeding device achieves 100% sealing in the feeding hole area and also promotes even filling of the individual chambers.

Another advantage is the optimization of the cake discharge: when the press is opened, the filter cloths detach from the plate and the filter cake falls off the filter cloth by itself.

Junker-Filter offers spill-proof filter cloths for filter plates with a groove design. The spill-proof filter cloths are available with a molded clamping contour or a sewn-in cord.

Advantages of the spill-proof cast version:

100% filled plate grooves and therefore no gaps for dirt, bacteria and virus growth
easy assembly without great effort

Application example:

Spill-proof filter cloths for the beer brewery (mash filter)

In the beer production process, the wort is separated from the spent grains during lautering. The international brewing industry often uses mash filters in combination with spill-proof filter cloths from Junker-Filter for this process.

The filter cloths are available in different materials and designs:

Material

The most frequently used materials are our monofilament fabrics JF-D0177 and JF 4211. These materials are characterized above all by their high throughput and excellent cake release.

The material JF-D0177 is a monofilament fabric with a smooth surface. Due to its special type of weave, it has high dimensional stability and at the same time an excellent cake release.

The material JF 4211 is a special material with low-stretch threads, which prevent deformation or bulging of the filter cloths (this avoids “belly” formation).

Design

Direct sewing

With direct sewing, the round cord is sewn into the filter material.

In addition, our filter cloths have drainage openings in the lower area. These ensure that the water that collects behind the cloth when cleaning the filter cloths can drain away quickly and easily.

JF-Design with separate cover of the round cord (“white frame”)

If the round cord is sewn directly into the monofilament fabric, there is a risk that the cloths will jump out of the groove under pressure due to poor adhesion. For this reason Junker-Filter has developed a special design: a separate cover of the round cord in a multifilament fabric ensures a secure hold in the panel groove.

In this design, too, our filter cloths have drainage openings in the lower area. These ensure that the water that collects behind the cloth when cleaning the filter cloths can drain away quickly and easily.
